Refund Policy for MasoConference.org
Effective Date: 1 July 2023
Thank you for choosing to participate in the MASO Conference, organized by Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO). We understand that circumstances may arise that could prevent you from attending the event after registering. This refund policy has been designed to outline the terms and conditions for requesting refunds in such cases.
1. Refund Eligibility:
1.1. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to maso.obesity@gmail.com. Verbal requests will not be accepted.
1.2. Any cancellation must be confirmed in writing to the Secretariat. Refund of fees less 50% administration charges may be applied for after 14th August 2023. It is regretted that after this date no refunds can be made.
1.3. You may transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. Please notify us in writing of such transfers.
2. Refund Process:
2.1. To request a refund, please email maso.obesity@gmail.com with your full name, registration details, and the reason for the refund request.
2.2. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving a valid refund request. Please allow an additional 3 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.
3. Cancellation or Postponement of the Event:
3.1. In the unlikely event that the MASO Conference is canceled or postponed by MASO, registered participants will be offered the option to receive a full refund of the registration fee or transfer their registration to the rescheduled event.
3.2. MASO will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation expenses, due to event cancellation or postponement.
4. Force Majeure:
4.1. MASO shall not be liable to refund any portion of the registration fee or be responsible for any additional costs if the event is canceled, rescheduled, or altered due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or unforeseen government restrictions.
5. Substitution Policy:
5.1. If you are unable to attend MASO Conference after registering, you may transfer your registration to another individual. Please notify us in writing at least 3 days before the event with the substitute's full name and contact details.
